Thanks and I’ll see you there!

Update + blog move

Hello there,

I have a quick blog post for you to give you all a little update. I will be uploading a card on Wednesday or on Thursday (depends on how much homework I have) :) . And I would also like to share with you that I’m considering to move my blog to Blogger again. Why? Well, because Blogger has a lot more opportunities to customize your blog. You can easily change fonts, colors, background etc etc. Here on WordPress it costs 30 dollars a year to customize your colors and fonts and stuff like that. What do you think about it? :) Let me know in the comment box! If I decide to move my blog to Blogger again I will be sure to let you know! :)

EXTRA: I worked a little bit on my Blogger Blog and editited colors, etc. Check it out via www.makingcardsisfun.blogspot.com

Thanks and have a great day!!

Hi all! Happy Saturday!

For today’s Saturday Stamp Day card I wanted to use the Simon Says Stamp March 2013 Card Kit again. I just love this kit and I know that I’ll be creating many more cards with it! I started out with some Neenah Desert Storm Card Stock and then I adhered paper from Lawn Fawn on it (Daphne’s Closet Collection). Afterwards I did some ghost stamping on the little kraft envelope that’s included in the kit (inspired by Jennifer McGuire). For the ghost stamping I used the Flower Friend Stamp Set and stamped the flowers, dots and sentiment with white pigment ink from Colorbox. When the white ink was completely dry, I stamped on the flowers with Tide Pool Ink from Hero Arts and I stamped the little dots with Bubblegum Ink from Hero Arts.

I am also submitting this card to the Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes Challenge :) .

That’s it for today! I’m really sorry for not having a video again, but I just have so much homework and editing a video takes a while :( .

See you soon! :)

Hi all!

Today I am sharing a card that I made using the Simon Says Stamp March 2013 Card Kit. I really adore this card kit! It has wonderful Spring inspired colors in it, beautiful patterned papers from Lawn Fawn (and coordinating stickers) and of course an awesome stamp set called Friendship Flowers designed by Kristina Werner. For this card, I used only supplies that were included in the card kit (except for the ink, it is Lime Pastel Chalk Ink from Colorbox). I also used something new on this card which is the straw. There are 3 straws included in this card kit, at first I didn’t really know what I should do with the straws. But then I decided to just adhere the straw next to the patterned paper. I adhered the straw with Tombow Mono Multi Glue. It seems to work really well! :)

That’s it for today! I hope to be back on Saturday with Saturday Stamp Day. I have tons and tons of homework so I won’t have a lot of crafty time :( .

See you soon and have a nice day! :)

Hello! Today I’m here with Saturday Stamp Day, it’s more like a Sunday Stamp Day now :) .

For this card I wanted to try out this technique that Kristina Werner does a lot with Distress Inks. I used 3 colors of Distress Inks: Evergreen Bough, Salty Ocean and Mowed Lawn. I really like how the colors turned out on the watercolor paper. I used the Danville Wreath Die from Simon Says Stamp, I do not own that die but a couple of months ago some lovely ladies from the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog team sent me some dies that they cut out. I filled up the little holes from that wreath with Stardust Stickles from Ranger and I also added some Blossom Gems from Hero Arts on the other flowers. The sentiment I used is from the Handwritten Sentiments Stamp Set from Simon Says Stamp. I embossed it with Versamark Ink and Opaque Bright White Wow Embossing Powder. Before you emboss on that watercolor paper, I suggest to let the distress ink dry complete because otherwise your embossing powder will stick in the Distress Ink. I used card stock from a local store called Boekenvoordeel :) .

I am also sumbitting this card to the Die Crazy Challenge from Simon Says Stamp on the Splitcoaststampers Website.

Thank you for visiting and I’ll be back soon!

Happy Birthday

Hello everyone!

Today I am sharing a 4,25 inch by 4,25 inch birthday card. I started out with Neenah Desert Storm card stock and I adhered a piece of paper from the Studio Calico Darling Dear paper pad. Afterwards I adhered a piece of pool paper on it with dimensional adhesive. I stamped the birthday sentiment with Soft Granite Ink using the Year Round Stamp Set from Hero Arts. I also stamped bugs from the Picnic stamp set from Hero Arts with Tide Pool Ink. To add a little extra touch I added 3 buttons :) .

That’s it for today, I’m sorry that it’s such a short blog post but I’m not feeling well.. The flu is very “active” in Belgium the last couple of weeks so I really hope that it’s just a headache that will go away anytime and that I won’t get the flue! I hate being sick! :(

See you on Saturday with a Saturday Stamp Day! :)

Hello there!

Today I am sharing a card that I created for the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps Sketch Challenge at Splitcoaststampers. Splitcoaststampers is having an 11 day Love Fest where they have challenges. I decided to try out the challenge from Day 2 which is the Sketch Challenge.

I decided to use some pink/purple colors. So I used the Soleil 6×6 paper pad from Basic Grey which has gorgeous florals in it and beautiful colors. The piece of purple card stock is embossed with my Big Shot Machine and a gorgeous embossing folder that I bought at a Dutch store called Boekenvoordeel. There was an amazing sale! 3 embossing folders for just 10 euros (which is about 13 dollars) :) . I embossed the paper so that the little dots in the center of the flower would pop out. I also used my Big Shot Machine for the flower. I used a die from Sizzix which I can’t find online anymore :( . I added a little gem from Hero Arts in the center of the flower to give it a little detail. For the sentiment I used the Absolutely Delightful stamp set from Simon Says Stamp. It’s a very pretty stamp set designed by Kristina Werner. I stamped the stamp set with Warm Violet Chalk Ink from Colorbox.

That’s it for today! Thanks for visiting and I’ll be back soon! :)

Hello there! Happy Saturday!

For today’s Saturday Stamp Day I wanted to use this sketch from the Retro Sketches Blog again. I noticed that I haven’t really used neon on cards a lot. So I thought this would be a moment to break out the neon embossing powders from Wow. I also did some coloring using watercolor pencils and the A Little Lovin’ Stamp Set from Paper Smooches!

Be sure to check out the video to see how I created this card! Thanks for visiting and I’ll be back soon! :)

Sending love

Hello!

Today I decided to create a card a card that I could enter for the Simon Says Stamp Challenge: White on white. For the card I created I started out with some Neenah White Solar card stock. Then I took another piece of white card stock and embossed it with a dots embossing folder from Sizzix. Afterwards I took another piece of white card stock and cut out a heart using a Hearts Bigz Die Cut from Sizzix. I also cut out the smaller heart using patterned paper from the Hopscotch Collection from Basic Grey. For the sentiment I used a die cut from Simon Says Stamp (Folded Banner). I do not have that die cut but a while ago when I didn’t have a Big Shot yet, some lovely ladies from the Simon Says Stamp Challenge team sent me some. I stamped a sentiment from the Handwritten Sentiments Stamp Set from Simon Says Stamp on that banner with Soft Granite Ink from Hero Arts.

That’s it for today! Thanks for visiting and I’ll be back on Saturday with another Saturday Stamp Day.

For the card I created I wanted to use my Big Shot of course so I used a die from Sizzix which I can’t find on Simon Says Stamp or any other online craft store. But I cut the die using paper from the Darling Dear Collection from Studio Calico, it has lovely patterns and colors in it! I added a Pool Button from Hero Arts on the flower to give it an extra little detail. For the sentiment I used the Year Round Stamp Set from Hero Arts again and stamped the sentiment with Tide Pool Ink . And to add a finishing touch I added 2 white lines and some dots using a White Gel Pen from Uni Ball.

That’s it for today! Thank you for visiting and I’ll be back on Thursday!
